Every man knows that a good suit can make him look great, whether he’s going to work, a night out on the town, or even out on a date.

However, many men, don’t have enough in their wardrobe to vary the suits they wear on a regular basis.

Having more than one or two suits in your closet can also do wonders for your work life.

After all, even if you don’t have to wear a suit every single day, nobody ever looks down on the guy that’s always dressed well. It might even give you an edge over your fellow employees when it’s time to hand out promotions.

When you’re ready to add more suits to your wardrobe, your personal style and the fit of the suit are obviously the most important considerations. Still, the brand of suit that you buy should also make a difference since well-known brands are tied to quality and taste.

Use this list of the top ten suit brands to help you find the perfect additions to your wardrobe for work and for play.

Known for their particularly elegant suits, Canali is one of the top ten suit brands for men because of their exceptional materials, often made of natural fibers. While Canali is certainly fashionable, many men that find they want a more traditionally-styled suit than they would get with a runway-ready company like John Varvatos will prefer Canali.

In terms of suiting, Canali is of the top ten suit brands a guy should be looking at if he needs suits for work that he can also wear into the night.

Brioni suits are some of the finest in the world – no wonder they are at the top of our list. The reason Brioni suits are so nice is that every single detail is controlled by the manufacturer and the sheep that provide wool for the suits are even kept in a beautiful environment that’s set to the right temperature during sheering season.

Of course, the best quality wool is only part of the Brioni charm. The classic Italian craftsmanship and cut is another huge factor. While Brioni suits are certainly at the top of the price range, they’re a lifetime investment that any guy can wear with pride.

Pair a Brioni suit with a Brioni shirt and you really have a classic, timeless wardrobe that can’t be beat in terms of quality.

Zegna

Brioni might be the top of the line in terms of price, but when it comes to modern style, Zegna is a name that’s synonymous with cutting edge trends, offering slim cut suits that are impeccably tailored.

Quality materials and attention to detail are also very important to Zegna. Not to mention the fact that anything with a Zegna tag on the inside is going to be fashionable for years to come, no matter how fashion-forward the group you run or work with is.

For men that want to keep their professional look modern and current, Zegna is an ideal choice.

Ravazzollo

Ravazzollo is known around the world for being one of the top ten suit brands for men because of their exceptional quality and styling. Made in Italy, Ravazzollo suits are crafted with incredible attention to detail, a classic Italian fit, and at a price point that’s a little lower than many of their competitors.

Often described as “Baby Brioni because of its quality, a fit like Canali and priced like Zegna,” Ravazzollo is an ideal choice for guys searching for that one, perfect suit.

If you’re ready to spend a pretty penny on a designer suit, Gucci may be the right choice for you. It’s also an ideal pick for guys that feel like they need designer labels in their closet because of their jobs.

While Gucci may still have a little Italian flair, most of their suits follow fashion trends, so you’ll see form-fitting shoulders and bodies with slim pants that are tapered at the ankle. When it comes to fabric, you’ll get about as many choices with Gucci as you will with any of the designers because of their brand size.

    Designers’ suit fabric collection. Dude.

  • FredC1968 says:

I agree with putting Jack Victor on that list. They are also durable and somewhat affordable.

    • We’re glad to hear you like them too Fred! We think they’re a great fit for almost any occasion.

My one issue is the last Jack Victor dealer in Tucson ceased operations several years ago. The occasional pants and blazer make there way to an outlet store.

I sell insurance and retirement products. I don’t need to be fashion forward. I just need durable classic suits, slacks. sports coats and blazers.

This list is extremely helpful. I may know I have a nice suit, but I don’t always know why. Grateful for some education.

Not the best Top 10 in my opinion. What about Kiton, Stefano Ricci, Attolini, Oxxford and Tom Ford?

  • Edgar Pomeroy says:

Kiton are very well made, however they use plastic buttons, and don’t have much shape. An Edgar Pomeroy bespoke suit has the details that everyone else has long forgotten.

  • jk says:

Jack Victor is not that good, Coppley is probably just borderline, the best Canadian suit brand is Samuelsohn which offers craftsmanship that is on par with the high end Italian brands.
